President's Message

Welcome to the official website of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated – Sigma Mu Lambda Chapter. Our chapter was chartered on May 19, 2019 to serve the communities of Montgomery and Chester Counties in Pennsylvania. 

In keeping with the Fraternity’s Mission Statement, “Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. develops leaders, promotes Brotherhood and academic excellence, while providing service and advocacy for our communities,” Sigma Mu Lambda seeks to provide a space for our Brothers to enjoy the benefits of the fraternal bond, to express their passions in service and advocacy, and to develop themselves as men and leaders.

Our service to the community is effected through our implementation of the Fraternity's National Programs (“Project Alpha,” “Brothers Keeper,” “Go to High School, Go to College” and “A Voteless People is a Hopeless People”, collaboration with organizations (Divine 9, NAACP, Big Brothers Big Sisters, March of Dimes), and The Ithaca 1906 Group Foundation. Our objective is for Sigma Mu Lambda to have measurable impact in the communities we serve.

Sigma Mu Lambda strives to meet Brothers at their current point of life. Recognizing that "life happens", we provide a variety of ways for Brothers to engage with our chapter. We feel that our time together as Brothers should be spent doing the work of Alpha and having fun together.  In all that we do, we hold Brotherhood as the first priority.
